Valve solutions for the automotive industry and beyond

Ventrex - About us

We design and manufacture multiple types of valves and electronic pressure regulators for alternative powertrain systems and air conditioning circuits, as well as compressors for pneumatic suspensions and seat height adjustment.

VENTREX’s highly automated assembly lines with integrated quality control and 100% end-of-line testing assure the highest product standards.

Increased process control, product quality consistency, and a more efficient use of resources result in reduced production costs. This way we can guarantee our customers large product volumes at a fast rate, with better prices and the best possible quality.

A History
of Success.

1949

Rudolf Adam founds the company Adam Metallwaren, a manufacturer of valves for pneumatic tyres.

Ventrex - 1949

1992

Christian Planegger takes over the factory and changes its name to VENTREX, the King of Valves. The company progressively expands and develops. This set the basis to become a direct automotive supplier, moving away from pneumatic tyre valves towards higher quality products.

Ventrex - 1992

1999

Start of the first fully automated line for the assembly and testing of Air Conditioning Valves. The first applications were already for our customers BMW, Mercedes and the VW Group. In the meantime, we have become the market leader for air conditioning valves in Europe.

Ventrex - 1999

2002

VENTREX acquires the German company BDW – Bayrische Druckguss Werke and expands its portfolio by adding compressors for seat applications and flat-set systems. While the production of Tyre-Fit compressors was discontinued in 2022 (although they will still be found in many vehicles for a long time), we still are the global market leader for seat compressors.

Ventrex - 2002

2008

With the development of the first electronic pressure regulator for CNG applications, VENTREX takes the first step towards alternative drives. Building up the know-how for natural gas applications, VENTREX acquires the natural gas valve division of the German automotive supplier Robert Bosch GmbH and further expands its portfolio. The higher quality, purity and leak tightness requirements of this new technology push VENTREX to a new level. For example, for the first time, products are manufactured in a clean room.

Ventrex - 2008

2015

To ensure the further development and growth of the company, VENTREX is handed over to the global tech company Aalberts Industries. Today, we work with partners in Europe, China and India and distribute our own products all over the world.

Ventrex - 2015

2018

Building on its profound expertise and many years of serial production experience in the fields of air-conditioning valves and electronic pressure regulators for CNG, VENTREX begins to transfer this technologies to hydrogen. Today, VENTREX is the expert and first port of call for the development and production of H2 defueling port and pressure regulators for the heavy-duty segment.

Ventrex - 2018

2023

VENTREX takes another step towards zero-emission mobility: In addition to our R744 filling valves, we expand the R744 portfolio with pressure relief valves for high and low pressure applications.
